Africa→West Percussion Trio—Jamie Ryan, Ryan Korb, and Josh Ryan—blends African and Afro-Caribbean traditions with Western classical and jazz influences. Drawing on studies with master musicians abroad, the trio’s original works and arrangements reflect the rich interplay between folkloric roots and their evolution in the Western Hemisphere. An ensemble-in-residence at Baldwin Wallace University, Africa→West has performed at major conventions, festivals, and venues nationwide, and is active in schools and universities through concerts, workshops, and collaborations with students of all ages.
